NFL: Daily Fantasy Football picks for DraftKings and FanDuel – Divisional Round

Written by: Phillip Beneteau – Staff Writer (@Fantasyphilled)

This will be the final NFL DFS segment of the season as this will be the final four game slate of the year. This year has been great and I’ve been lucky enough to provide content here at The Grandstand. I look forward to providing more content as time goes on! The only game that looks like it could get out of hand is when the Houston Texans visit the New England Patriots. I don’t see any way that the Texans can pull this game off, let alone even keep it close. Aside from that, the slate looks juicy and I’m excited to get started with my picks!

Russell Wilson (QB) – DraftKings: $6,900, FanDuel: $8,200 – Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson was my QB play of the week last Sunday, and while he didn’t crush it, I am back on him this week against the Atlanta Falcons who have one of the worst defences left in the playoffs. If Seattle’s defence is lacking on the road, and the Falcons are putting up points, expect Wilson to lead the charge.

LeGarrette Blount (RB) – DraftKings: $5,800, FanDuel: $7,300 – New England Patriots

With this game being a +15.5 Vegas spread, everyone is expecting the Patriots to run away with this game. In games like this, I love to have a piece to Blount as he is the back that the Patriots can lean on to melt time off the clock. Blount has the upside to get multiple Tds and over 100 yards. As long as the game script stays true, Blount will be a huge part of the offence, keeping Tom Brady fresh and upright for the Conference Finals.

Devonta Freeman (RB) – DraftKings: $5,900, FanDuel: $7,600 – Atlanta Falcons

Speaking of high upside players, Devonta Freeman has incredible upside. He has just two games under 11 DK points since Week 2 and seven games over 20 points in that span, including four games over 26 DK points. Freeman had 13 receptions in the final two weeks of the season and could be in for a huge game at home against a Seahawks team that is not as good on the road.

Antonio Brown (WR) – DraftKings: $9,600, FanDuel: $8,800 – Pittsburgh Steelers

I am having a very tough time fitting him in to my lineups, but if you are paying up for any player this week, I am going with Antonio Brown. The Steelers will face a defence that is allowing 247 yards in the air per game this season, and while the Kansas City Chiefs are incredible at home, I still expect Brown to get his catches against this weak secondary.

Dez Bryant (WR) – DraftKings: $6,600, FanDuel: $7,600 – Dallas Cowboys

If you eliminate his Week 17 showing of 0 catches on one target, Bryant had 72 targets, 39 receptions, 646 yards, and seven touchdowns since Week 8. Bryant and the Cowboys will be facing the 31st ranked passing defence that has allowed ver 270 yards a game this season. If the Cowboys defence struggles at all, Bryant’s numbers will benefit while playing from behind. In any case, I expect Bryant to deliver amazing value at a very reasonable price tag in a home dome game.

Jeremy Maclin (WR) – DraftKings: $4,300, FanDuel: $5,500 – Kansas City Cheifs

While I know that Maclin has not been the old WR he used to be, with his high upside, but I still have confidence in him with his low price tag. Maclin had four receptions on five targets for 53 yards in Week 17. If the Steelers do get off to a hot start, Maclin and Kelce will be focal points in instigating a comeback. He is cheap enough to warrant a dart throw with his skill set and possible game script.

Jimmy Graham (TE) – DraftKings: $4,900, FanDuel: $6,800 – Seattle Seahawks

I think you have to pay up for Travis Kelce on FanDuel as he is just $300 more, but on DraftKings he could save you good money. Graham has had much more of a productive season for the Seahawks this year, racking up 68 receptions for 960 yards and six touchdowns. The TE spot is a make or break spot with very few options on the board.

New England (DEF) – DraftKings: $4,000, FanDuel: $5,100

I don’t think I can play any other defence this week with as much confidence as I have in New England. In a home match up against Brock Osweiller and the lack luster Texans offence, I am expecting big things from this defence. Play them. Eat the chalk.

Thanks for reading, see you next season!
