NBA: Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers and Value Plays – November 7, 2016

Written By: Coleman Bahr – Staff Writer (@ColemanBahr)

We have an abbreviated, seven game slate tonight, but there is no shortage of value to choose from. In this article, I am going to preview my top sleeper plays on DraftKings, which make for great tournament options. Let’s get to it!

| Point Guard

Tim Frazier – New Orleans Pelicans- $6,600

Tim Frazier has burned me the past two nights he’s played, but DFS is all about having a short memory. Frazier and company take on the Golden State Warriors with a monster total of 222 points. Frazier had a blazing start to the season, smashing value in three of his first four games, but failed to hit 20 points in each of the past two games. I’m accrediting that to his minutes. He has played 30+ minutes in three games this season, scoring at least 44 DraftKings points in all those games. A monstrous total, and a favorable defensive matchup should lead to a value-smashing performance form Frazier tonight.

| Shooting Guard

Klay Thompson- Golden State Warriors- $6,200

Staying with the same game, Klay Thompson is due to catch fire very soon. He has been ice cold from deep this season, only shooting 19.6%. That’s more than half of his career three-point percentage of 41.6%, so he is due for some positive regression. I’m definitely chasing points here, but I think there’s a good chance it pays off. This game has a huge total, and the Warriors will be playing with a purpose after getting blown out by the Los Angeles Lakers. I could get burned by another off night from Klay, but the upside is too much for me to pass up on in tournaments.

 | Small Forward

Solomon Hill- New Orleans Pelicans- $3,800

Yeah, I’m stacking the Golden State-New Orleans game in case you were wondering. Solomon Hill is another player from this game in a great spot. The departure of Lance Stephenson leaves Solomon Hill as the guy for the Pelicans at the small forward position. He is a lock for at least 30 minutes tonight, and he has averaged 30.6 DraftKings points in the two games in which he played at least 30 minutes. His sub-$4,000 price tag also allows you to fit in the big-name players of this slate with ease.

| Power Forward

Markieff Morris- Washington Wizards- $5,900

So, Markieff Morris isn’t the biggest sleeper, but you guys would hate me if I suggested another player from the Golden State-New Orleans game, so I won’t do that. However, Morris has been crushing value this season, already hitting 6x on three different occasions. Tonight, is another great opportunity for him. The Wizards take on the defenseless Rockets, and Vegas has a huge 215.5-point total, with just a two-point spread. This equates to plenty of run for the starters, so Morris is primed for another 5x-7x game tonight.

| Center

Bismack Biyombo ($3,600)

Keep an eye on this pick as it is solely dependent on whether Nikola Vucevic plays or not. If Vucevic is out, Biyombo will get the start, and he should see huge minutes. Biyombo has already crushed value in his last two games despite only averaging 23 minutes, so he is an easy plug-and-play if Vucevic sits this one out. But, if Vucevic suits up, I like Joel Embiid in the mid-tier, and Draymond Green, and Andre Drummond in the upper-tier.

Good luck tonight! If you have any last-minute questions, you can reach me on Twitter @ColemanBahr!
