Bruce Arians has reportedly been transferred to a San Diego area hospital after experiencing stomach pains upon arrival to a joint practice between the Arizona Cardinals and San Diego Chargers Tuesday evening.
According to Cardinals’ VP of Media Relations, Mark Dalton, Arians alerted medical staff at Qualcomm Stadium of his discomfort and has been transported for further evaluation. There are no additional details at this time.
UPDATE: 11:32 pm CST
Bruce Arians has reportedly undergone testing and will remain hospitalized throughout the night with an update on his condition coming Wednesday.
This is not the first health concern for fourth-year Cardinals’ head coach and two-time NFL Coach of the Year winner Bruce Arians, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007.
Arians said in an interview that he had been hospitalized several times due to migraines whilst coaching football at Temple University in the 1980s, Arians was also hospitalized in 2013 before a Wild Card game as a member of the Indianapolis Colts’ coaching staff.
